About the event
What movement skills does a modern human animal need to be healthy and creative?
The athletic training industry began to embrace the concept of functional movement. However what counts as functional depends on a future we cannot predict. Life is full of chaos and uncertainty. The human animal has a lovely biological structure full of curves and potential to adapt to a wide variety of movement situations. This workshop attempts to broaden our idea of functional movement. The content includes everything from small subtle articulations to playful partner and group games.
We will play with objects, bodies, imagination and mimicry. Rather than take the familiar narrow linear path, expect the workshop to be more like an exploration in a foreign city.
