“Ed has a passion for not just human movement but also the human soul. This combined with his beautiful nature and genuine interest to see you achieve move in all parts of your training and life make him one of the best people you will ever get to work with. I was lucky enough to coach along side Ed and also train with him. This is definitely a time that I won't forget and a time that I learnt a lot about movement and myself.”

Quotation mark

“I’ve been training with Ed for a couple of months and the impact upon my flexibility and core strength is amazing. Ed is perhaps one of the most encouraging and supportive trainers I have ever worked with and he has kept me challenged but mindful of not injuring myself. The techniques have not only been physically rewarding but the concentration and necessity to adapt, means my mind has been getting a terrific work out as well. I always come away with a real buzz, both from the physical training and the mental stimulation.”

Eduardo was the right person at the right time, I had recently decided that I wanted to put some focus into improving my health, better movement was what I was looking to achieve. 13 years ago I sustained multiple serious injuries and had since given up hope that I could improve my situation. I met Eduardo by chance at just the right time, I have enjoyed Eduardo's approach to training and is dedication to offering tailored solutions to my specific needs, he has me moving better than I ever have and for that I am grateful. The best skill he has taught me would be self observation and awareness. Eduardo is the best!

What a refreshing change from pushing weights. I am absolutely loving this new kind of training getting to know your body. I can’t speak highly enough of Ed’s training programs and they way he delivers it.

I suffer from a brain disorder which has caused slowed movement, stiffness and rigidity and unsteadiness when walking. I found out about this just before I started training with Eduardo five months ago. I was feeling rather depressed about the diagnosis and, because of the unsteadiness, I was finding it difficult to do things like negotiate stairs and escalators.

My experience of working with Eduardo has been very positive. Through rhythm movement patterns and other exercises, he has helped restore my movement awareness, improved my gait and my balance and steadiness. Our sessions have always been challenging, but fun.

Physically, my posture is better as is my balance. I am walking much better and I now feel confident walking up and down stairs and getting on and off escalators. This has made a huge difference to my life from a practical perspective. It has also helped me to feel more confident.

Modern science is only starting to understand neuroplasticity – the capacity of the brain to change and heal itself – but I feel that, under Eduardo’s guidance and through the use of activity and movement, my brain is finding new pathways to overcome the problems I am experiencing.

What is it that makes you attending the sessions? What do you find valuable in our practice?

I keep coming back because I now love all of these sessions. At first I didn't understand much at all and found it very hard and a little stressful , but gradually it has become a little clearer, especially after I started the group sessions  and the workshop.   One session I realised (after you pointed it out to me) that I was trying too hard, taking it too seriously and not having as much fun as I could be and from then on I somehow changed my attitude.  And the group has been so accepting that I could relax and have even more fun.  I accepted the concept of the struggle rather than having to be perfect at everything.  I also love your gentle teaching style, your music, your humour, the variety, the recurring themes in your cleverly structured classes.  I feel like I have gradually learnt more about movement, my body. I have enjoyed playing with the others in the group once I got used to it and stopped feeling so self conscious. I know my  mobility and strength  has improved but that has been incidental to the challenge and fun of the sessions.

What did you learn, and/or you are learning, training with me?

Yes way beyond the physical for me is the mind/body connection, the concentration, the quieting of the mind, the connection with others.  At times a moving meditation, other times a playful ball game or dance or just exhausting hard work. And the power of my own mind - believing I can do something rather than talking myself out of it.

How would you summarise in one sentence what you are doing with me, what you have learnt and what keeps you interested in practicing together?

That's the only problem its so hard to express to anyone exactly what it is!

What is it that makes you attending the sessions? What do you find valuable in our practice?

The training sessions are always different, interesting and challenging. I appreciate the holistic approach of challenging the mind and body. I feel that you tailor the sessions to my individual needs and that you modify whatever you have planned to fit my current state of body and mind.

It is very helpful that you film certain routines that we are practising so I can try them at home. I enjoy our conversations that arise from the challenges you present.

I always seem to laugh when I cant do something! That's good.

What did you learn, and/or you are learning, training with me?

I'm learning that its vital to challenge my mind, my neural pathways and both my mental and physical rigidity. Your message is to challenge yourself so as to grow and develop. Be open and have a go!

How would you summarise in one sentence what you are doing with me, what you have learnt and what keeps you interested in practicing together?

Body and mind interconnectedness with rhythm and coordination develops our mental and physical flexibility.

Patrick M. - Principal

What is it that makes you attending the sessions? What do you find valuable in our practice?

I attend because I enjoy the variety of movement and want to improve my coordination and strength. It's fun being with such a nice group of people and training with you and the group helps me think about things in different ways and appreciate and notice different things (with movement and beyond). It's valuable in so many ways for general well-being and the benefits of trying new things.
